Job Description
PAH Management is a Dallas-based hotel ownership and management company known for operating a portfolio of select-service properties across multiple states. These properties are managed under premier hospitality brands including Marriott and Hilton. PAH Management is committed to fostering a people-first culture that prioritizes the growth, safety, and satisfaction of its associates while striving to become America’s preferred hotel management company. Their diverse portfolio and commitment to excellence in hospitality provide an enriching work environment where employees can flourish and build rewarding careers. The company emphasizes equal opportunities, ensuring that all qualified candidates receive consideration without discrimination on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, veteran status, or other protected characteristics.
The role of Bistro Server within PAH Management’s select-service hotels is central to delivering an exceptional dining experience for guests. Located in the property in Baton Rouge, LA, this position is key to the hotel’s food and beverage operations, serving in the bistro or other food outlets available on-site. As a Bistro Server, the individual is tasked with engaging guests warmly and professionally to enhance their visit. Duties include taking and entering orders into the point-of-sale (POS) system accurately, preparing and serving menu items such as sandwiches, salads, pizzas, grilled offerings, breakfast items, coffee, and other beverages, all in line with standardized recipes and brand standards.
Beyond food service, the Bistro Server is responsible for supporting the overall restaurant operations. This includes completing opening and closing tasks such as setting up or breaking down workstations, maintaining proper stock levels of food, beverages, condiments, and paper products, and ensuring a clean, sanitary dining environment through bussing tables and sanitizing surfaces. Handling guest payments with accuracy and adhering to cash handling policies is also part of the role.
This position demands a high level of customer service skill, attention to detail in food preparation, and adherence to safety and sanitation regulations. The Bistro Server must maintain cleanliness through effective 'Clean As You Go' practices while following all relevant food safety and health department guidelines. Physical demands include standing and walking for extended periods, lifting and carrying items up to 50 pounds, as well as maneuvering in a fast-paced restaurant environment.
Work schedules require flexibility to cover early mornings, evenings, weekends, holidays, and special events as required by hotel business needs. While prior hospitality experience and familiarity with POS systems like MICROS are preferred, PAH Management welcomes those willing to learn and grow in this dynamic role. Compensation is competitive and commensurate with experience, accompanied by a comprehensive benefits package that supports the well-being and professional development of employees. Benefits include medical, dental, and vision insurance, short-term and long-term disability coverage, 401(k) retirement plans, life insurance options, hotel stay perks, accident and critical illness coverage, educational reimbursement, paid time off, and specialized training programs like the Manager in Training program where applicable. This opportunity is ideal for individuals passionate about hospitality who seek a rewarding career in a supportive and growth-oriented company.
