Job Description

Dimondale Nursing Care Center is a respected long-term care facility dedicated to providing exceptional nursing care services within the greater Dimondale area, including Dewitt, Holt, Okemos, East Lansing, and surrounding communities. The center is currently seeking a full-time Bistro Manager to work alongside the Executive Chef in overseeing the Bistro’s daily operations. This role is critical in maintaining a safe, clean, and sanitary food service environment that meets all federal, state, and local guidelines applicable to nursing care facilities. The Bistro Manager will help to develop, implement, and evaluate food service programs and activities, ensuring residents and visitors enjoy EPIC food and beverage experiences. This position is based in Dimondale, MI, with a day shift schedule of 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM and includes weekend and holiday rotations alongside dietary staff. Starting wages can reach up to $19.00 per hour, with yearly wage increases offered.

The Bistro Manager plays a key role in managing Bistro personnel, including responsibilities for hiring, training, scheduling, and performance evaluations. They will also assist in coordinating food-related programs with other departments, maintain Bistro policies and procedures, and perform administrative duties necessary for operational control, such as completing forms, reports, and evaluations. The facility prioritizes fostering a collaborative and supportive leadership environment. Job Duties

  • Assist in the planning, developing, organizing, implementing, evaluating, and directing the functioning of the Bistro, its programs, and activities
  • Prepare and deliver an EPIC food and beverage service program while maximizing customer satisfaction
  • Assist in the coordination with food related activities with other departments
  • Assist in developing, maintaining and implementing written Bistro policies and procedures
  • Assist in performing administrative duties such as completing necessary forms, reports, evaluations, studies, etc., to assure control of equipment or supplies
  • Assist in the supervision of the Bistro personnel, including hiring, training, scheduling, and evaluating performance
