Job Description

Our establishment is a vibrant Culinary & Events team dedicated to delivering exceptional food experiences through a variety of culinary services. We operate a dynamic environment that includes frozen food preparation and packaging, grab-and-go food preparation and packaging, as well as the preparation and execution of event and café menus. By seamlessly blending culinary craftsmanship with event coordination, our team ensures customers enjoy high-quality meals whether dining on-site, grabbing a quick bite, or attending special events.

As a key member of the Culinary & Events team, you will play an integral role in maintaining food quality and presentation standards across multiple service areas. Your responsibilities will encompass preparing frozen and grab-and-go foods, packaging, and stock management to guarantee product freshness and availability. You will also receive training in various crucial duties including counter service, sanitation, event execution, new recipe implementation, and product stocking. This position requires a strong commitment to maintaining food safety standards, exceptional communication skills for coordinating ingredient supplies, and the ability to contribute positively to the team environment.

Your role is not limited to the kitchen; you will actively participate in customer-facing duties such as working the café counter and using the POS system to assist patrons, ensuring a positive purchasing experience. During events, you will help set up buffets while adhering to stringent food presentation and safe food handling standards, thereby supporting the smooth execution of culinary events. The position demands attentiveness to detail, adherence to health and safety regulations including alcohol service laws, and a proactive approach to problem-solving and feedback.

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to cut, prepare and package foods accurately
  • Capacity to monitor and maintain food stock levels
  • Knowledge of basic sanitation and food safety practices
  • Ability to receive and process ingredients and supplies
  • Effective communication skills
  • Ability to operate POS system if required
  • Willingness to adhere to all applicable laws including alcohol service
  • Ability to work flexible hours including events
  • Ability to maintain a clean and sanitary work environment
  • Positive and professional attitude
  • Punctuality and proper grooming

Job Qualifications

  • Previous experience in food preparation or culinary environment preferred
  • Basic knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
  • Ability to operate POS systems is a plus
  • Strong communication skills

  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new recipes and procedures

Job Duties

  • Cut, prepare and package a variety of foods to be frozen
  • Maintain expected stock levels of frozen foods in stores and backstock
  • Date products and continually monitor refrigerator/freezers for product freshness
  • Receive and process in ingredients and supplies
  • Communicate effectively about needed ingredients to sustain expected food production
  • Execute and give feedback on new recipes and menu options
  • Maximize sales potential through effective and proper procedures for prepping, storing and rotating stock
  • Work the café counter and POS system to help customers with culinary purchases as needed
  • Assist in events by setting up buffets with food presentation standards and practices in mind, ensuring safe food handling performance
  • Maintain and ensure the maintenance of a clean and sanitary working and shopping environment
  • Adhere to all applicable laws when serving alcohol
  • Maintain knowledge of policies and procedures
  • Maintain positive and professional attitude
  • Arrive to work appropriately groomed, dressed and ready to work
