Job Description
The hiring company is a prestigious hospitality establishment focused on providing unparalleled food and beverage services in a luxurious environment. The venue features poolside dining and a bistro setting where members and their guests regularly enjoy an exceptional dining experience. The organization emphasizes superior service standards, impeccable ambiance, and decor to ensure every visit is memorable. This company is dedicated to excellence, combining a seamless dining experience with attentive service to maintain high client satisfaction and loyalty. Employing a highly trained and motivated front-of-house team, the venue is known for its commitment to quality and guest satisfaction in a refined club or resort setting.
The role of Bistro Front of House Supervisor is critical to sustaining the high service standards and operational excellence the company is known for. This leadership position requires a motivated individual who will assist with the food and beverage operation and ensure that members and guests receive exceptional service while dining poolside. The supervisor acts as a bridge between the kitchen and front-of-house staff to guarantee a smooth, enjoyable dining experience. Key responsibilities include overseeing the organization and cleanliness of the service areas, managing daily operations, and supporting the distribution and implementation of weekly staff schedules. This role involves conducting pre-shift meetings to communicate daily priorities, running side work and shift operations, and maintaining floor presence to engage with members and families actively.
In addition to operational management, the supervisor must maintain the ambiance by ensuring decor elements such as umbrellas are clean and properly placed, music levels are appropriate, and menus are accurate and presentable. The individual will also manage labor during slower periods by assigning tasks or adjusting staffing needs accordingly. Strong leadership skills are essential as the supervisor manages the team, tracks point-of-sale tickets to ensure accurate billing, and coordinates with maintenance for any operational issues. The position demands vigilance, an outgoing and friendly personality, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment with a strong service orientation.
This role requires a minimum of two to four years of experience in banquet lead, captain, server, or supervisory roles in restaurant, club, or hotel/resort environments, with at least three years of fine dining service experience. A related college degree or equivalent experience is preferred, and flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and evenings is necessary. Physical demands include the ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 40 pounds, and work both indoors and outdoors under various weather conditions. Overall, the Bistro Front of House Supervisor is pivotal to the hospitality experience, ensuring the highest standards of service excellence and contributing significantly to the operation's success.
