Job Description
Hobbs Brook Real Estate LLC is a pioneering leader in the commercial real estate industry with a rich history dating back to 1952. The company manages a diverse portfolio of innovative, sustainable properties across the United States and Singapore, blending visionary development with a passion for environmental stewardship and community enhancement. As the real estate division of FM, Hobbs Brook Real Estate (HBRE) has established a reputation for excellence by acquiring, developing, and managing high-quality properties while fostering strong partnerships with stakeholders. Committed to creating spaces that inspire and serve communities, HBRE focuses on long-term value, sustainability, and operational excellence, making it a respected name in the real estate sector.
This position is located at the Four Points by Sheraton Hotel & Conference Center in Norwood, MA, a vibrant hospitality property owned by Hobbs Brook Real Estate LLC. The hotel features 230 modern, smoke-free guestrooms including allergy-friendly options, complemented by amenities such as complimentary Wi-Fi, parking, a fitness center, and an indoor pool. Its 28 meeting rooms and expansive 40,000 square feet of event space make it ideal for hosting conferences and social events, anchored by the elegant Tiffany Ballroom. Guests enjoy dining at One Bistro or the daily breakfast buffet at Zachariah's, contributing to a dynamic and guest-centric environment. The hotel's prime location provides easy access to major destinations including Boston, Providence, Gillette Stadium, Legacy Place, and convenient commuter rail and Amtrak services.
This role offers a unique opportunity to join an award-winning hotel team within a supportive and high-energy culture that values collaboration and personal growth. The available position is a part-time cook supporting the Bistro team, ideal for experienced cooks looking to work morning shifts starting as early as 8:00 AM or early-career cooks seeking afternoon shifts starting at 1:00 PM. Recent graduates with at least six months of hands-on cooking or internship experience are encouraged to apply to gain mentorship from seasoned culinary professionals while working within a diverse and inclusive team environment.
The recruit is expected to maintain flexibility in scheduling to accommodate days, evenings, weekends, and holiday shifts (with the exception of Christmas). The role requires a hands-on approach to food preparation, cooking, and kitchen operations. A vital part of the interview process includes an on-site cooking stage to evaluate culinary skills. Although relocation assistance is not offered, the position promises enriching experience, competitive hourly wages ranging from $20.81 to $26.01, and eligibility to participate in FM's comprehensive Total Rewards program. This extensive benefits program includes health, dental, vision insurance, life and disability coverage, well-being initiatives, a 401(k) and pension plan, tuition reimbursement, flexible work arrangements, and paid time off. Additionally, employees gain access to Marriott employee discounts following completion of required trainings. Hobbs Brook Real Estate is committed to equal opportunity employment and fostering a diverse workforce that celebrates inclusivity and professional development.
