The role of Bistro Cook at Belmont Village Senior Living is a vital position within their senior living community’s onsite Bistro. This full-time role requires shift flexibility, with days varying to include weekends and holidays. The Bistro Cook is responsible for multifaceted duties tied to food preparation, setup, service, and clean-up. This position offers the unique opportunity to engage directly with residents and guests, providing high-quality, freshly prepared meals and beverages with efficient and courteous service. Job Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • must be able to communicate clearly in verbal and written English
  • minimum of 6 months line cook experience in banquet, catering, café or bistro
  • ability to work assigned shifts including early morning, evenings, weekends and holidays as needed
  • consistent and reliable attendance is essential
  • offers of employment are contingent upon completion of applicable post-offer pre-employment screenings including background check, drug screening, physical examination, and TB testing

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • minimum of 6 months line cook experience in banquet, catering, café, or bistro
  • proven success with basic culinary skills such as knife handling, accurate measurements and cooking methods
  • professional, pleasant and team oriented attitude
  • ability to communicate clearly in verbal and written English

Job Duties

  • Prepare, cook and serve high-quality, fresh food promptly and courteously
