Currently, The Courtyard Loma Linda is seeking a Bistro Attendant to join its food and beverage team. This role is central to the guest dining experience, representing the heart of the service that makes dining memorable and enjoyable. The Bistro Attendant is responsible for delivering attentive, efficient, and professional service within the restaurant and lounge areas, ensuring that each guest receives hospitality that reflects the hotel’s Wings of Excellence, a standard of service that aims to surpass guest expectations consistently. The ideal candidate for this role is someone with strong communication skills, a passion for customer service, and the ability to multitask in a busy dining environment.
The position involves greeting guests promptly, recommending menu items, accurately taking and delivering orders, and ensuring that guests are completely satisfied with their dining experience. The Bistro Attendant also plays a key role in promoting daily specials and upselling beverages, contributing to the overall revenue and success of the food and beverage department. Operational responsibilities include maintaining cleanliness and organization in the dining areas and service stations, handling payments accurately, and complying with all relevant alcohol and food service regulations. This role requires adherence to the hotel's grooming and appearance standards to maintain a professional and polished presentation.
Additionally, there is an opportunity for interested individuals to expand their skills and work additional hours in bartending or the cook position, offering career growth and variety in day-to-day tasks. The role requires availability for varied shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, and the physical ability to stand and walk for extended periods as well as lift up to 25 pounds. Job Requirements
- Previous experience in bistro or similar food service roles
- strong communication and interpersonal skills

Job Duties
- Greet guests promptly and provide menu recommendations when appropriate

- maintain cleanliness and organization of tables, service stations, and dining areas
- process payments accurately and follow cash handling procedures
- collaborate with kitchen and bar staff to ensure timely and accurate order delivery
