This particular opportunity is with a hotel property located in Baton Rouge, LA, and is specifically looking for a Bistro Attendant. The Bistro Attendant plays a crucial role in elevating the dining experience for hotel guests by providing friendly, efficient service while preparing and serving food and beverages in the hotel’s bistro or designated food outlet. This role requires a balance of guest-facing responsibilities and operational support, making it integral to the food and beverage department.
The primary function of the Bistro Attendant includes welcoming guests with professionalism and warmth, accurately taking and processing food and beverage orders using the point-of-sale (POS) system, and making menu recommendations to enhance the customer’s dining experience. Aside from guest service, the position involves preparing standard menu items such as sandwiches, salads, pizza, grilled selections, breakfast options, coffee, and specialty beverages according to set recipes and quality standards. There is also an element of support during banquets, meetings, or special events which requires teamwork and flexibility.
Operationally, the Bistro Attendant is responsible for opening and closing duties which include setting up the workstation, maintaining cleanliness, restocking supplies, and handling cash transactions accurately while adhering to audit procedures.
