Job Description
Chick-fil-A is a renowned American fast-food restaurant chain specializing in chicken sandwiches. Known for its commitment to quality, customer service, and community involvement, Chick-fil-A operates through independent operators who manage individual restaurants. The brand is highly recognized for its focus on fresh ingredients, exceptional hospitality, and a family-friendly work environment. Open six days a week and closed on Sundays, Chick-fil-A offers employees a unique work-life balance not commonly found in the food industry. This environment fosters not only career growth but also personal development and community connection.
The role of a Biscuit Baker at Chick-fil-A is an entry-level position that offers much more than just a job—it’s a chance to gain valuable life and business experience. Employed directly by an independent Operator, team members have opportunities to develop skills in a supportive, nurturing environment. No previous experience is required as Chick-fil-A provides training to equip Biscuit Bakers with all the necessary skills to excel in their role. The position is ideal for early risers who enjoy working in the mornings and prefer having afternoons, evenings, and Sundays off.
Biscuit Bakers are responsible for preparing high-quality biscuits that meet Chick-fil-A’s standards for taste and freshness. Work hours for this role are from 5:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m., Monday through Saturday. Using fresh and simple ingredients, Biscuit Bakers mix, roll, and cut the biscuit dough, oversee the baking process, and support the kitchen team to ensure efficient and smooth operations. The commitment to quality in each biscuit aligns with Chick-fil-A’s broader mission of providing food made with fresh, wholesome ingredients.
Beyond the day-to-day duties, the Biscuit Baker position offers competitive pay, flexible scheduling, and a friendly team atmosphere where all team members are valued. Employees have access to several benefits including scholarships through the Remarkable Futures program, potential insurance coverage for full-time team members, and complimentary food during breaks. Most notably, Chick-fil-A is closed on Sundays, allowing employees time with family and friends—an uncommon benefit in the quick-service restaurant industry.
By joining Chick-fil-A as a Biscuit Baker, individuals not only acquire skills related to food preparation but also gain exposure to business operations under the mentorship of an independent Operator. This unique opportunity serves as a stepping stone for future success in the business world, with many former team members building careers based on the skills and values learned during their tenure. The emphasis on positive attitude, teamwork, and customer service makes it an excellent launching pad for personal and professional growth.
