The role available is Biomedical Technician II (BMET II), a crucial position within the clinical engineering team. This role involves installing, inspecting, troubleshooting, repairing, calibrating, and verifying the performance of complex biomedical equipment with minimal supervision. BMET IIs utilize advanced test equipment and tools to ensure the optimal function and safety of clinical devices. They often provide technical advice to medical and clinical staff about the safe operation of equipment. Additionally, the BMET II assists in developing equipment specifications and ensures all regulatory compliance measures are met. Responsibilities span technical servicing, regulatory compliance, account relationship management, and inventory control. Job Requirements
- Two-year degree in technical or electronics field or equivalent experience
- TRIMEDX Trained Certification or equivalent biomedical related certification
- Certified Biomedical Equipment Technician (CBET) certification preferred
- Minimum three years’ experience with biomedical equipment in clinical engineering
- Valid driver’s license
- Ability to travel as required
- Strong computer and technical skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Commitment to safety and regulatory compliance
Job Qualifications

Job Duties
- Perform performance assurance inspections, scheduled maintenance, electrical safety inspections, and operation verification procedures on complex biomedical equipment
- Repair, install, and calibrate complex biomedical equipment
- Inform supervisors of repair status, inspections, unusual equipment situations, and customer concerns
- Work with and oversee subcontractors, vendors, and outside service technicians to ensure proper service delivery
- Maintain biomedical expertise through ongoing training and education
- Assist with service operations special projects
- Ensure accuracy and integrity of equipment database including inventory and service history
- Adhere to the Medical Equipment Management Plan and regulatory compliance policies
- Complete all service documentation accurately and timely
- Build and maintain customer relationships
- Discuss equipment status and functionality with clinicians
- Represent TRIMEDX values in job performance
- Perform periodic inspections of equipment inventory
- Verify security analysis completion for new customer equipment
- Conduct incoming inspections to maintain accurate device inventory
- Make recommendations regarding inventory
- Perform other duties as assigned
