The role of Biomed Technician I at Banner Health, based in Greeley, Colorado, is a vital position within the Technology Management department, specifically the Bio-Med sector. This full-time day shift clinical support position plays an essential role in maintaining and supporting the medical equipment that is crucial to the delivery of patient care. As a Biomed Technician I, you will be responsible for providing technical expertise in the installation, maintenance, and repair of biomedical technologies, devices, instruments, and systems. This includes conducting preventive maintenance, diagnosing equipment malfunctions, and making minor repairs under direct supervision. The technician will support various healthcare departments and multiple facilities, both regionally and system-wide.

Job Requirements
- Completion of an Associate’s degree in electronics or related field or equivalent training or two years of related equivalent experience
- Valid driver’s license and eligibility for company auto insurance coverage
- Understanding of repair and maintenance of general low-risk medical devices
- Knowledge of PC applications as they interface with medical equipment
- Knowledge of electronic equipment operation, repair, and maintenance
Job Qualifications
- Associate’s degree in electronics or related field or equivalent training
- Two years of industry experience preferred
- Knowledge of electronics fundamentals
- Understanding of repair and maintenance of low-risk medical equipment
- Ability to use specialized electronic test equipment
- Familiarity with PC applications interfacing with medical equipment
- Strong documentation and customer service skills
Job Duties
- Perform scheduled preventive maintenance and safety inspections and testing on a diverse range of therapeutic and diagnostic biomedical equipment using specialized test equipment and tools
- Identify, diagnose, and implement minor repairs on general low-risk medical devices and equipment
- Assist with the installation, maintenance, and repair of biomedical equipment
- Document all work performed, maintain parts and supplies inventory, and complete service reports accurately and timely
- Provide customer relations and resolve equipment service problems ensuring clinical capability restoration
- Assist with testing and calibrating equipment according to manufacturers’ recommendations or established guidelines
- Serve multiple departments and facilities regionally and system-wide providing technical support under direction from senior technicians or leadership
