This role is for the position of Medical Support Specialist (Plasma Center Nurse) at one of BioLife’s plasma donation centers. This is a full-time, regular employee position based in Mount Pleasant, Wisconsin, specifically at the Dura location. The hourly wage ranges from $24.00 to $33.00, depending on experience and qualifications. The Medical Support Specialist plays a critical role in ensuring the safety and eligibility of plasma donors. Reporting to the Plasma Center Manager and working under the guidance of the Center Physician, this role demands strict adherence to medical protocols, regulatory standards, and quality control procedures.

Key responsibilities include assessing donor eligibility through medical history reviews, physical examinations, blood testing, and informed consent processes. The Specialist closely monitors donor reactions and manages any adverse events following established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). They are also responsible for the review of laboratory test results, notifying donors when results are unsuitable, and supporting vaccination programs for employees, including Hepatitis B and seasonal flu. Additionally, the Specialist manages employee health incidents, coordinates with occupational health as necessary, and may serve as a Pandemic Coordinator when authorized.

The role requires familiarity with plasma collection regulations and safety guidelines, ensuring that environmental, health, and safety standards are maintained at the center.
