As a company, Sherwin-Williams prides itself on fostering a supportive work environment where employees have the opportunity to grow their careers, develop new skills, and contribute to a meaningful purpose. Their commitment to stability, growth, and inclusion creates a workplace culture that values each team member and invests in their personal and professional well-being.
Sherwin-Williams is seeking dedicated and passionate Store Associates for their retail location at 140 48th Street, Union City, NJ 07087 (Store #701966). This is a vital role within the retail stores that directly contributes to the overall success by providing exceptional customer service and ensuring sales targets are met consistently. The role requires individuals who are not only knowledgeable about product features but also possess strong interpersonal skills to build trusting relationships with customers. Store Associates are responsible for maintaining store standards, including the high quality and visual appeal of products and displays. They will engage in activities such as assisting customers in person and over the phone, processing sales transactions securely and accurately, tinting and mixing products according to customer specifications, stocking shelves, setting up displays, and handling inventory control. There is also the responsibility of managing deliveries and loading or unloading trucks as needed.
In this role, Store Associates must be attentive and proactive in resolving customer concerns promptly to maximize client satisfaction, which is fundamental to Sherwin-Williams' mission of delivering excellence in every customer interaction. Working in this position involves handling cash and other payment methods as well as electronic equipment and sensitive personal data. Therefore, Sherwin-Williams conducts necessary background checks to ensure safety and integrity within all operations.
The company offers a structured hiring process beginning with an online application, followed by a digital behavioral interview via HireVue, and culminating in an in-store interview. This streamlined process ensures that candidates who join Sherwin-Williams are well-matched for the role and company culture.
Sherwin-Williams values inclusion and equal opportunity, welcoming applicants from diverse backgrounds and ensuring fair consideration regardless of race, gender, religion, disability, veteran status, or other protected characteristics. Employees benefit from a robust package of world-class benefits including retirement plans, health care, total well-being programs, and support for commuting needs.
Overall, this Store Associate position at Sherwin-Williams presents an exciting opportunity for individuals passionate about sales, customer service, and the paint industry. It is ideal for those who thrive in a fast-paced, customer-facing environment and are eager to contribute to a company that values innovative solutions and strong community connections. Join Sherwin-Williams and be part of a team dedicated to creating possibilities through color and protection, while advancing your career in a stable and supportive workplace.
