The role of the Teller at FNBT is integral to the bank's day-to-day operations and customer relations. Under direct supervision, the Teller is responsible for delivering outstanding customer service by managing receipt and payment of cash, ensuring accuracy in all financial transactions, and maintaining compliance with established bank policies. Tellers are accountable for meeting personal monthly new account production goals as assigned by upper management and actively participating in a dynamic sales environment that may include in-store prospecting.
Key responsibilities include processing deposits and withdrawals, verifying cash and check amounts, scrutinizing endorsements, and safeguarding against counterfeit checks and fraudulent identification. Entering transactions into the computer system accurately and issuing receipts are critical to maintaining operational integrity. Additionally, the Teller processes money orders, cashier's checks, bank-to-bank wires, certificates of deposit, Western Union wires, and cash advances. Cross-selling bank services and products is vital to the growth of the bank and fulfilling customer needs. The role requires a commitment to regular attendance and punctuality, the ability to work in a busy, sometimes stressful, and noisy branch environment, and adherence to flexible scheduling based on business needs.

Job Requirements

- at least 18 years of age
- six months accountable cash handling or transaction management experience
- bilingual in English and Spanish
- successful completion of FCBI Step Program for internal employees
- ability to work flexible schedule including evenings, weekends and holidays
- must pass background investigation

Job Duties
- Provide exceptional customer service involving receipt and payment of cash
