Job Description
ABM is a leading global provider of facility services, dedicated to creating cleaner, healthier, and more sustainable environments across a diverse range of commercial and industrial sectors. Established in 1909, ABM has grown impressively, now serving over 20,000 clients with annual revenues nearing $8 billion and employing more than 100,000 team members across more than 350 offices in the United States, United Kingdom, Republic of Ireland, and other international locations. The company offers a comprehensive suite of services that span janitorial, engineering, parking, electrical and lighting, energy and electric vehicle charging infrastructure, HVAC and mechanical, landscaping and turf management, and mission critical solutions. ABM prides itself on its commitment to sustainability, innovation, and excellence in customer service, making it a preferred choice for clients in sectors such as commercial office buildings, universities, airports, hospitals, data centers, manufacturing plants, distribution centers, and entertainment venues, among others.
The role of Recruiter within ABM’s Frontline Talent Acquisition Team is pivotal for supporting the company’s hiring needs, primarily focusing on janitorial team members within the Northeast Market, especially in Massachusetts, New Hampshire, and Rhode Island. This position is designed for a high-volume recruiting environment where creativity and resourcefulness are essential. The recruiter will be entrusted with developing effective recruiting plans and employing innovative and non-traditional strategies to attract top-tier candidates. The role encompasses managing the full lifecycle of the hiring process – from sourcing, presenting candidates, selecting, negotiating offers, closing hires, to handling all relevant administrative duties.
This is a hybrid role based out of Somerville, MA, requiring in-office presence from Monday to Thursday, fostering collaboration while enabling flexibility. The position requires bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish, reflecting the diverse candidate and client base ABM serves. Salary for this role ranges between $75,000 and $80,000, with the specific offer dependent on the candidate’s qualifications, experience, and alignment with market data. Additionally, employees may be eligible for company incentive or bonus programs.
As a recruiter at ABM, you will be the frontline representative of the company, engaging with candidates through multiple channels including in person, email, text, and phone, ensuring a smooth and professional hiring process. Key responsibilities include sourcing candidates through various channels such as job fairs, resume searches, referrals, and direct sourcing. You will manage pre-employment screening processes, assist applicants in completing applications and onboarding activities, maintain organized documentation, and collaborate closely with hiring managers to align recruitment strategies with business needs. You will leverage multiple recruiting techniques such as social media marketing, networking, cold calling, and database mining to maximize applicant flow. Your ability to cultivate strong relationships, communicate effectively, and maintain meticulous attention to detail will be vital in fulfilling this role.
ABM’s workplace culture emphasizes integrity, accountability, collaboration, and excellence. The company supports professional growth and fosters an inclusive environment, encouraging employees to develop their skills and build rewarding careers. ABM is an equal opportunity employer, committed to diversity and accessibility, and provides reasonable accommodations to individuals with disabilities. As part of its commitment to hiring veterans and supporting the military community, ABM offers specialized training and development opportunities for those transitioning from military service. For candidates seeking a dynamic career in talent acquisition within a globally recognized, service-driven organization, this recruiter position at ABM offers a compelling and rewarding opportunity.
