Job Description

St. Anthony Marie de Claret Catholic Church is a vibrant religious community dedicated to fostering spiritual growth and providing a welcoming environment for parishioners and visitors alike. Situated within the Diocese of Austin, this parish plays a pivotal role in the faith lives of its members, bringing together individuals and families through various ministries, liturgical celebrations, and community outreach programs. The church emphasizes a strong connection to the teachings of the Roman Catholic Church while promoting an atmosphere of hospitality, respect, and service. This commitment extends into the day-to-day operations of the Parish Office, where professionalism, care, and attention to detail are essential to supporting the Church's mission. The Parish Office serves as the heart of communication and coordination for church activities, handling a wide range of tasks from managing member records and scheduling to supporting various programs and events.

The Bilingual Receptionist role at St. Anthony Marie de Claret Catholic Church is a unique opportunity to serve both the parish and the broader community by being the welcoming face and voice of the Parish Office. The individual in this role is responsible for creating a warm, hospitable environment that aligns with the Church's mission and values. Key responsibilities include answering incoming calls, greeting and assisting visitors, managing parish databases, processing Mass Intentions, and supporting special programs such as the Ethics and Integrity in Ministry initiative. The receptionist also acts as a key liaison during funerals, ensuring smooth communication and coordination.

In addition to technical skills and bilingual communication, the ideal candidate is someone who embodies the philosophies of Catholic ministry and upholds Gospel values both professionally and personally. This role demands a high degree of confidentiality, discretion, and ethical behavior, as well as a proactive attitude and the ability to work independently and as part of a team. The receptionist will be closely connected with the Parish Pastor, serving in a vital ministry capacity and supporting the Pastor's objectives through efficient office management and compassionate interaction with all who enter the Parish Office. The position demands adaptability to changing priorities and a genuine commitment to service, ensuring that every person who contacts or visits the parish receives a positive and supportive experience. This role offers a meaningful way to contribute to the faith community and engage in ministry beyond traditional church activities.
