Job Description
FNBT is a reputable financial institution dedicated to delivering exceptional banking services to a diverse clientele. Known for its commitment to community engagement and customer satisfaction, FNBT operates with a focus on creating a welcoming environment for all customers, including a large Spanish-speaking population. The bank prides itself on fostering a collaborative workplace culture where employees are empowered to grow and succeed while delivering superior service. At FNBT, the emphasis is placed on professionalism, integrity, and a customer-first approach in all banking activities.
The Teller position at FNBT is integral to the daily operations of the bank, serving as the initial point of contact for customers in a high-volume sales and service environment. This role involves providing exceptional customer service under direct supervision, managing cash transactions including receipt and payment, and offering tailored banking products to meet the needs of both new and existing account holders. The Teller is responsible for accurately processing deposits, payments, and other financial operations while adhering strictly to established bank policies and procedures. This role requires a dynamic individual capable of thriving in a fast-paced, sometimes noisy environment, effectively communicating with customers in both English and Spanish, and contributing to overall branch success through active participation in sales and customer engagement initiatives.
This full-time position demands a high level of accuracy and attention to detail, as the Teller will be handling cash and sensitive financial documents like checks and money orders. The role also supports the bank’s sales goals by cross-selling various bank products such as certificates of deposit, cashier's checks, and wire transfers. Teller responsibilities include not only transactional duties but also proactive engagement such as in-store aisle prospecting to identify sales opportunities, maintaining a balanced cash drawer, and ensuring compliance with security measures like counterfeit detection. With a focus on both operational excellence and customer relationship building, the Teller serves as a vital link between the bank and its customers, facilitating smooth banking experiences and supporting FNBT’s mission to be a trusted financial partner in the community.
Candidates will require flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays due to business demands and should possess a strong work ethic demonstrated by regular and predictable attendance. Physical demands include standing or walking for extended periods and the ability to lift items up to 50 pounds. FNBT is an equal opportunity employer committed to diversity and inclusion, welcoming applicants who meet the requirements to contribute positively to its team environment and customer service goals.
