Job Description

First National Bank Texas (FNBT) is a respected financial institution dedicated to providing comprehensive banking services to individuals and businesses. Known for its commitment to customer satisfaction and community values, FNBT prides itself on fostering a dynamic and supportive workplace environment. The bank operates multiple branches and caters to a diverse customer base, including a significant Spanish-speaking population, emphasizing inclusive and accessible banking solutions. FNBT strives to drive financial growth while maintaining exceptional standards of service and operational integrity.

The role available is that of a Teller, a critical position within the bank responsible for handling high volumes of transactions with accuracy and professionalism. This is a full-time, customer-facing role that requires strong interpersonal skills and a keen eye for detail. The Teller will work under direct supervision and is expected to provide outstanding customer service, which includes the receipt and payment of cash, processing deposits, and executing financial transactions such as selling money orders and cashier's checks. The Teller must adhere strictly to established banking policies and procedures to safeguard the bank and its customers.

In addition to routine transaction handling, the Teller is accountable for achieving monthly goals in new account production, contributing to the bank's sales objectives. The role involves active sales participation, which may require approaching customers within the branch to promote banking products and services effectively. Familiarity with cross-selling techniques is essential to encourage customers to utilize a broader range of financial offerings. Moreover, the Teller must exercise vigilance in recognizing counterfeit currency and verifying check endorsements to prevent financial fraud.

The Teller also plays a vital role in maintaining accurate records by entering transactions into computer systems and balancing daily operations to ensure financial accuracy. This position demands the ability to work efficiently in high-pressure, fast-paced environments while maintaining politeness and professionalism. Physical requirements include standing or walking for extended periods and the capability to lift items weighing up to 50 pounds. The position may involve fluctuating schedules based on business needs, emphasizing the need for flexibility and reliability.

FNBT offers an inclusive workplace, supporting equal employment opportunities to all applicants.
