The role of Bilingual Member Service Representative at GreenState Credit Union is vital in maintaining the credit union’s service excellence and member satisfaction. This position is based in Addison, Illinois, and is designed to be the frontline interaction point between the credit union and its membership. Successful candidates will handle a variety of financial transactions and member inquiries daily, ensuring accuracy, confidentiality, and professionalism. The position is hourly with a pay range of $19.47 to $22.76 per hour, and includes a monthly incentive opportunity and a progressive benefits package. The work schedule is typically Monday to Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:15 p.m., with additional hours on Saturday mornings. The credit union values bilingual skills highly and offers a Bilingual Pay Program, with a preference for Spanish-speaking applicants to better serve its diverse member base.
The Bilingual Member Service Representative will perform essential functions such as processing deposits, withdrawals, transfers, and loan payments; checking account discrepancies and resolving complaints; and promoting GreenState’s financial products and services tailored to meet members’ needs. This role demands a high level of interpersonal skills, energy, accuracy in cash handling, and the ability to work cooperatively with team members and other departments. The individual must embody integrity, confidentiality, and a commitment to fostering an inclusive and welcoming environment. They will also engage in outbound member service calls and participate in community outreach activities that exemplify the credit union’s mission to create lasting value for its members and communities. This position reports to the Manager of the Retail Branch and does not have supervisory responsibilities. - ability to work with minimal direction and exercise sound judgment
- member account problem-solving skills
- proficiency with related computer applications, spreadsheets, word processing, and database applications
- ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships as a cohesive team
- high school diploma or the equivalent (i.e. GED)
- cash handling, sales, and customer service experience desired
- must be bondable
- reports to work punctually, works all scheduled hours, and works overtime as necessitated by business demand
