Job Description
ID Logistics is a prominent global third-party logistics (3PL) company specializing in transportation and supply chain management solutions. With a presence spanning over 400 sites in 18 countries and employing more than 35,000 individuals, ID Logistics is committed to delivering exceptional customer service through a customer-first approach and operational excellence. The organization fosters a dynamic and inclusive work environment that values each team member, promoting teamwork, innovation, and continuous improvement. This collaborative atmosphere helps ID Logistics maintain its position as a leader in the logistics and transportation industry by ensuring superior service delivery and meeting the evolving demands of its clients worldwide.
This role is for a Line Lead position within the production department, reporting directly to the Production Supervisor. The Line Lead plays a crucial role in coordinating the production activities associated with all work orders and transfers, ensuring that all tasks are completed accurately and to the client’s specifications. Success in this role is especially measured by the ability to maintain or surpass the standard units produced per hour (UPH) and efficiency goals, as well as delivering error-free work that satisfies client requirements. The Line Lead will act as a key point of contact for communication and coordination across the production team, ensuring smooth operations, adherence to company policies, and effective collaboration with related departments such as inbound coordination (IC) and dock management.
This position is full-time with a schedule from Monday through Thursday, from 4:00 AM to 2:30 PM, with flexibility to work overtime on short notice and additional days as necessary based on business demands. The role is compensated at $19.50 per hour and is classified as a non-exempt position. The Line Lead will be responsible for a wide range of essential functions, including planning production activities, verifying product accuracy, overseeing work order closure, ensuring correct employee time tracking, and addressing operational issues promptly through appropriate channels.
The ideal candidate for the Line Lead position must exhibit leadership skills and the ability to manage a team effectively with minimal supervision. Essential competencies include bilingual fluency in English and Spanish, proficiency with computer systems (particularly Windows-based), and strong problem-solving skills, especially related to root cause analysis. Previous experience in a production environment coupled with leadership experience is important, along with operational expertise and a minimum of one year of forklift operation experience. Physical capability to lift up to 40 pounds is required due to the nature of production work. This role also demands adaptability, detailed orientation, excellent communication skills, teamwork orientation, and commitment to safety compliance.
Joining ID Logistics means becoming part of a forward-thinking, supportive, and growth-oriented team that offers significant benefits like health, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k) matching, paid time off, and life insurance, all designed to support employees’ wellbeing and professional development. This job offers an opportunity to contribute to a leading global logistics company committed to excellence and inclusion, where your efforts can make a tangible impact on operational success and client satisfaction.
