Empower is a leading financial services company dedicated to helping individuals achieve financial freedom through innovative retirement solutions and exceptional customer service. With a core belief that transforming financial lives begins with empowering its own associates, Empower promotes a work environment that embraces flexibility, internal mobility, and a genuine commitment to well-being and work-life balance. Recognized for its welcoming and inclusive culture, Empower not only focuses on professional growth but also encourages community involvement, with associates volunteering thousands of hours for meaningful causes.

At Empower, the culture thrives on the principle of giving employees the autonomy to shape their career paths while contributing to the financial success of thousands of customers. The company’s values emphasize purpose and inclusion, fostering a space where diversity is celebrated and every voice is heard. As a remote employer offering nationwide opportunities, Empower supports associates with the tools and resources necessary to succeed, including competitive salaries, comprehensive benefit packages, and continuous learning opportunities that facilitate upward career mobility.

The role of a Financial Services Associate in Empower’s call center is designed for individuals passionate about customer service and interested in launching or advancing their careers in financial services. This customer-facing position involves responding to telephone inquiries related to retirement plans from participants, employers, and third-party plan specialists. The position does not require prior financial services experience; individuals new to the industry are welcomed and supported through a paid associate training program and ongoing coaching to ensure success and professional growth.

Associates in this role provide excellent service by educating and empowering customers on retirement savings accounts without the pressure of cold calling or sales. They communicate important plan updates and process various transactions, including contribution changes, loans, withdrawals, and general account changes directed by customers. The position requires excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively within a team. Fluency in English and Spanish is necessary to effectively serve a diverse customer base, along with the flexibility to work a 40-hour week including some evenings and occasional Saturdays.

Empower offers a supportive work environment enriched with benefits such as medical, dental, vision, and life insurance, a robust 401(k) plan with company matching, tuition reimbursement, paid time off including holidays and volunteer hours, and leave of absence programs. The company’s salary range for this role typically falls between $39,700 and $54,550, with potential bonuses based on performance. Empower’s commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion is evident in its policies and workplace practices, making it an excellent employer for individuals seeking a meaningful and rewarding career in financial services.
