We are currently seeking a dedicated Bilingual Apartment Leasing Consultant to join our dynamic team and support one of our valued property management partners. This role is pivotal in creating positive customer experiences by assisting prospective and current residents throughout the leasing process. The position is hourly paid, ranging from $20 to $23, reflecting the value placed on quality service and bilingual communication skills. The consultant will be responsible for engaging prospective residents by providing tours, understanding their housing needs, and closing leasing deals. This role requires a proactive attitude in managing leasing paperwork such as applications, lease agreements, and employment or credit checks. Further responsibilities include collecting security deposits and rent, communicating community policies, and ensuring the physical readiness of apartments for move-ins.

The ideal candidate for this leasing consultant position is fluent in both English and Spanish and shows strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to engage with a wide range of personalities. Experience in leasing, customer service, retail, sales, real estate, or hospitality enriches the candidate's capability to thrive in this role. Familiarity with leasing software platforms like Yardi, Blue Moon, Entrata, Onesite, or MRI is an added advantage, although not mandatory. Weekend availability is necessary to meet the needs of residents and prospects.

Job Requirements

  • Must be fluent in both English and Spanish
  • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
  • Basic computer knowledge including Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel and exposure to social media
  • Knowledge of leasing software is a plus including Yardi, Blue Moon, Entrata, Onesite, MRI, etc
  • Ability to work weekends as required

Job Duties

  • Greet prospective residents and give tours while determining housing needs, preferences, and close leads
  • Assist new residents with leasing paperwork, including applications, lease agreements, and employment/credit checks
  • Collect security deposits, rent, and any other charges associated with resident move-ins
  • Communicate all lease and community policies to new and current residents
  • Follow up with all leads and prospects that did not lease
  • Ensure apartments are move-in ready by inspecting, and adding last-minute touches when appropriate
  • Seek out new residents with creative marketing techniques
  • Manage the lease renewal process and retention efforts
  • Promptly responding to calls, emails, and inquiries
