The role of Customer Service Specialist at Sherwin-Williams is a vital position focused on delivering outstanding customer service and achieving sales goals within a retail environment. This part-time role, requiring approximately 24 hours per week at Store #1068 located at 16510 W Cactus Rd., Surprise, AZ 85388, involves close interaction with customers to determine their needs, answer questions about Sherwin-Williams products, and recommend the right solutions to meet those needs. Specialists are expected to maintain a high level of product knowledge and stay current on product features. The role demands attentiveness to customer concerns, prompt resolution of issues, and ensuring a satisfying shopping experience that fosters customer loyalty.
In this capacity, the Customer Service Specialist undertakes various responsibilities including assisting customers both in person and over the phone, processing sales transactions accurately, tinting and mixing products to customer specifications, maintaining store appearance, managing inventory control procedures, and supporting sales targets on a monthly, quarterly, and yearly basis. The position requires physical ability to retrieve and handle product materials, including lifting weights up to 70 pounds occasionally. A valid, unrestricted driver's license is necessary as the role may involve loading/unloading delivery trucks and assisting with deliveries.

Job Requirements
- Must be at least eighteen 18 years of age
- Must be legally authorized to work in the country of employment without needing sponsorship for employment work visa status now or in the future
- Must be able to read, write, comprehend, and communicate in English
- Must be able to read, write, comprehend, and communicate in Spanish
- Must have a valid, unrestricted driver’s license
- Must be able, with or without reasonable accommodation, to retrieve material from shelves and floor stacks and lift and carry up to 50 lbs frequently and up to 70 lbs on occasion
- Must be willing to work all scheduled hours, which may include evenings and weekends, with or without reasonable accommodation
- If internal to Sherwin-Williams, you must have received at least a “meets expectations” 3 rating on your most recent performance appraisal
- If internal to Sherwin-Williams, you must have completed all HR Cloud eLearning courses required for your current position
Job Qualifications
- Have at least a high school diploma or GED
- Have at least one year of experience working in a delivery, retail, or customer service position
- Have previous work experience selling paint and paint-related products
- Have previous work experience operating tinting and mixing equipment
- Ability to communicate effectively in English and Spanish
- Demonstrated ability to meet sales goals
- Strong interpersonal and customer service skills
- Basic knowledge of inventory management
Job Duties
- Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through excellent sales service
- Assist customers in person and over the phone by determining needs and presenting appropriate products and services
- Build productive trust relationships with wholesale and retail customers
