As a company, Sherwin-Williams values its employees as the driving force behind its sustained growth, success, and momentum, offering an inclusive workplace culture that nurtures personal well-being, career development, and community connection.
Joining Sherwin-Williams as a Customer Service Specialist at Store #1678 in Rochester, NY, means becoming a crucial part of the frontline team dedicated to providing outstanding service to wholesale and retail customers. The position involves direct customer interactions, both in-person and over the phone, where rapport-building and trust are vital to fostering long-term relationships.
The role also encompasses a variety of responsibilities beyond customer interaction, including processing sales transactions, managing product tinting and mixing tailored to precise customer specifications, and maintaining store organization through stocking, cleaning, and display setup. With access to cash, electronic equipment, and sensitive customer data, this position emphasizes the importance of integrity, security, and adherence to company policies designed to protect customers, staff, and business operations. Sherwin-Williams ensures that all team members undergo appropriate background checks in compliance with legal and safety standards.

Eligible Customer Service Specialists gain access to medical, dental, and vision coverage, flexible spending accounts, disability plans, and retirement savings options. Additional benefits include paid personal, parental, medical, vacation, and holiday leave, reflecting the company’s commitment to employee wellness and family support.
The hiring process at Sherwin-Williams begins with an online application and includes a digital video interview, which candidates can complete at their convenience, followed by an in-store interview with the hiring team. This systematic approach ensures the selection of qualified and dedicated individuals committed to upholding the company’s mission and values.
