Job Description
Sherwin-Williams is a leading company renowned for its commitment to enhancing the world through its wide range of paints, coatings, and innovative solutions. The company vision centers on inspiring and improving spaces by protecting what matters most to customers and communities alike. With a deep investment in its employees' growth, health, and well-being, Sherwin-Williams fosters an inclusive culture that supports career development, stability, and a strong connection to both the team and local communities. They operate with pride as an Equal Employment Opportunity employer and demonstrate a steadfast dedication to diversity, equity, and inclusion across all levels of the company.
The role available is for a full-time Customer Service Specialist at the Covington Store, located at 17709 SE 272nd St Ste B, Covington, WA 98094 (Store #708255). This position starts at a competitive hourly wage of $23.00 and requires bilingual fluency in both Spanish and English to effectively communicate with the diverse customer base. As a Customer Service Specialist, you will serve as a vital link between Sherwin-Williams and their wholesale and retail customers, helping to determine their needs, answering product-related questions, and recommending the best solutions tailored to their projects.
This role demands a high level of customer engagement, requiring you to promptly and professionally address customer concerns to maintain maximum client satisfaction. You will be expected to stay well-informed on the features and benefits of Sherwin-Williams products and uphold the store’s high visual and quality standards. Working closely with both wholesale and retail customers, you will help to build productive, trust-based relationships that foster repeat business and enhance the company's reputation.
In addition to customer service, your responsibilities will include handling sales transactions accurately in line with company policies and achieving sales goals consistently on monthly, quarterly, and yearly bases. You will also manage work order files and product formulas with precision, and assist in operational activities such as pulling stock from inventory, tinting and mixing paint to customer specifications, stocking shelves, setting up product displays, and maintaining store cleanliness.
Because this job involves handling sensitive information, including cash and personal customer data, Sherwin-Williams performs criminal background reviews to ensure the safety and integrity of its business, employees, and customers. The company prides itself on comprehensive benefits that support employees' overall well-being. These benefits include medical, dental, and vision coverage; flexible spending accounts; retirement and savings plans; various types of paid leave such as vacation, parental leave, bereavement leave, and sick leave; and even military leave, reflecting the company’s respect and support for employees' diverse life situations.
Sherwin-Williams’ hiring process includes an online application, a digital behavioral interview via HireVue, and an in-store interview with the team. This thorough process ensures alignment between candidates' skills and the company’s needs.
Joining Sherwin-Williams means becoming part of an organization that not only provides stability and growth but also believes in nurturing talent and providing opportunities for continuous learning and development. If you are passionate about customer service, bilingual, and ready to help customers find the perfect solutions for their painting and coating needs, this role offers the opportunity to grow within a respected and forward-thinking company.
