Sherwin-Williams operates retail stores, specialty wholesale branches, and delivery service terminals, providing customers with premium products and exceptional service across the United States and internationally. As an organization, Sherwin-Williams emphasizes stability, growth, and career development, supporting its employees with competitive rewards and benefits, opportunities for professional advancement, and a culture of inclusion and community connection.
The Color Mixer Specialist role at Sherwin-Williams is a part-time position located at Store #723882 in Winston Salem, NC, offering up to 28 hours per week with a starting salary of $15.30 per hour. This position is essential to maintaining Sherwin-Williams' reputation for quality and excellent customer service. Color Mixer Specialists tint and mix paint to precise customer specifications, ensuring color accuracy and product integrity. They work closely with wholesale and retail customers to understand their specific needs, answer questions about Sherwin-Williams products, and recommend the best solutions to achieve desired results.
In addition to hands-on mixing, Color Mixer Specialists prepare drawdowns for customer submittals, maintain accurate work order files and formulas, and ensure the store environment meets high standards of cleanliness and product presentation. They play a crucial role in achieving sales goals while upholding the company’s visual and operational standards. This position involves direct customer interaction, including minors, and handling cash, electronic payment methods, and store merchandise, requiring trustworthiness and professionalism.
The role demands physical activity such as retrieving materials from shelves, lifting heavy items up to 70 pounds occasionally, and assisting with delivery loading and unloading. Bilingual skills, particularly proficiency in Spanish, enhance communication with diverse customers and are valued for this position. Sherwin-Williams prioritizes safety and adherence to company policies, including conducting criminal history reviews as part of the hiring process to protect customers, employees, and business interests.
Sherwin-Williams invites applicants to complete an online application, followed by a digital interview process with HireVue, and final in-store interviews for selected candidates. The company offers a comprehensive benefits package designed to support employees' health, financial security, and work-life balance. These benefits reflect Sherwin-Williams’ commitment to helping employees and their families live healthier, save smarter, and feel better.
Overall, this opportunity as a Color Mixer Specialist provides not only a chance to be part of a respected and growth-oriented company but also a meaningful role contributing to customers’ satisfaction through expert advice and precise product preparation. Sherwin-Williams values each team member’s contributions and fosters an inclusive, supportive workplace where skills, passion, and commitment are recognized and rewarded.
