As an Apartment Leasing Consultant, you will be working directly with one of InterSolutions' property management partners, playing an integral role in the day-to-day operations of apartment leasing and resident relations. Your responsibilities will include greeting prospective residents, conducting tours, and determining their housing preferences to close leads effectively. You will assist new residents with filling out leasing paperwork such as applications and lease agreements, as well as performing necessary employment and credit checks. Collecting security deposits and rent payments along with explaining lease terms and community policies fall within your purview, ensuring transparency and clarity for residents.

The role also demands proactive engagement, such as following up on leads that did not convert initially, managing lease renewals, and contributing to resident retention efforts. You will ensure apartments are ready for move-in by conducting inspections and adding last-minute touches to create a pleasant living environment. Marketing the property creatively to attract new residents and promptly responding to inquiries through various communication channels are also essential.

Job Duties

  • Greet prospective residents and give tours while determining housing needs, preferences, and close leads
  • Assist new residents with leasing paperwork including applications, lease agreements, and employment/credit checks
  • Collect security deposits, rent, and any other charges associated with resident move-ins
  • Communicate all lease and community policies to new and current residents
  • Follow up with all leads and prospects that did not lease
  • Ensure apartments are move-in ready by inspecting, and adding last-minute touches when appropriate
  • Seek out new residents with creative marketing techniques
  • Manage the lease renewal process and retention efforts
  • Promptly respond to calls, emails, and inquiries
