This particular role is for a Bilingual Apartment Leasing Consultant stationed in Katy, TX 77449. The position offers an hourly pay of $16 to $17 and emphasizes a customer-first approach in a fast-paced leasing environment. The consultant will be working closely with a top property management client, playing an essential role in providing excellent service to both current and prospective residents. This role is ideal for individuals who are fluent in both English and Spanish and excel at engaging with diverse personalities. The Leasing Consultant will manage a wide range of duties from greeting and touring prospective residents, assisting with leasing documentation, to ensuring apartments are move-in ready. Their communication skills must be top-notch to effectively convey lease and community policies and follow up on leads that do not convert immediately, thereby maximizing occupancy rates.

The role reports directly to the property manager and demands strong organizational skills and a proactive mindset. Successful candidates often have prior experience in leasing, customer service, sales, real estate, hospitality, or retail. Familiarity with leasing software such as Yardi, Blue Moon, Entrata, Onesite, or MRI is considered an advantage though not mandatory. Flexibility to work weekends and the ability to handle communications through various channels, including phone, email, and social media, are critical. Job Requirements

  • Must be fluent in both English and Spanish
  • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
  • Basic computer knowledge including Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel and exposure to social media
  • Knowledge of leasing software is a plus including Yardi, Blue Moon, Entrata, Onesite, MRI
  • Ability to work weekends as required

Job Qualifications

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Job Duties

  • Greet prospective residents and give tours while determining housing needs, preferences, and close leads
  • Assist new residents with leasing paperwork, including applications, lease agreements, and employment/credit checks
  • Collect security deposits, rent, and any other charges associated with resident move-ins
  • Communicate all lease and community policies to new and current residents
  • Follow up with all leads and prospects that did not lease
  • Ensure apartments are move-in ready by inspecting and adding last-minute touches when appropriate
  • Seek out new residents with creative marketing techniques
  • Manage the lease renewal process and retention efforts
  • Promptly respond to calls, emails, and inquiries
