Job Requirements
- current employee of Columbus City Schools Food Service Department
- eligibility to participate in internal bid process only
- ability to work 3 hours per day at Briggs High School
- compliance with attendance policies as per Columbus Board of Education agreement
- valid work authorization
- ability to pass background checks
- physical capability to perform job duties
Job Qualifications
- high school diploma or equivalent preferred
- prior experience in food service or cafeteria setting helpful
- ability to follow instructions and work in a team
- basic knowledge of food safety principles
- good communication skills
- reliability and punctuality
- ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting and standing for extended periods
Job Duties
- assist in the preparation and serving of meals
- clean and maintain kitchen and dining areas
- wash dishes and utensils
- follow food safety and hygiene standards
- support inventory and stock supplies
- cooperate with food service team and supervisors
- ensure compliance with school district policies
