Job Requirements
- Current employment as a cook within Columbus City Schools
- ability to submit application through Salesforce platform
- meet attendance and conduct standards as per Columbus Board of Education agreement
- willingness to work a 6-hour daily schedule
- strong organizational skills
- ability to adhere to district policies and procedures
- valid work authorization
Job Qualifications
- Previous experience working as a cook in a school or institutional kitchen
- knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices
- ability to follow recipes and preparation procedures
- strong communication and teamwork skills
- familiarity with Columbus City Schools food service guidelines
- ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- basic math and inventory tracking skills
Job Duties
- Prepare and cook food according to established recipes and quality standards
- maintain cleanliness and sanitation of kitchen and dining areas
- ensure compliance with food safety regulations
- assist with inventory management and stock supplies
- serve meals to students and staff in a timely and courteous manner
- collaborate with team members to support efficient kitchen operations
