The role in question is a part-time Beverage Supervisor position at Climate Pledge Arena. With an hourly wage of $26.00, this position plays a critical leadership role in bar operations, ensuring excellent guest service, maintaining staff efficiency, and adhering to budget and safety standards. The Beverage Supervisor helps oversee bar set-up and closing during event days, manages inventory and sales reports, and assists bartending associates during busy periods. Additionally, they monitor staff performance, recommend personnel decisions, and ensure staff meet uniform and behavioral standards. This role involves direct interaction and leadership of high-performing teams, requiring someone passionate about hospitality and skilled in bartending techniques and knowledge of beer, wine, and spirits. The job demands working flexible hours including nights, weekends, holidays, and event days in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Job Requirements

  • Must be at least 21 years old
  • Able to work a flexible scheduling including nights, weekends and holidays
  • Previous experience with draft beer systems
  • Knowledge of beer, wine, and spirits preferred
  • Previous supervisory experience a plus
  • Knowledge in bartending techniques, recipes, sanitation, and safety issues
  • Basic math skills
  • ability to accurately account for cash and inventory
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Oversee bar set-up and closing procedures on event days
  • Ensure that all company policies are followed by associates
  • Observe, evaluate, and document job performances of associates
  • Recommend personnel actions such as promotions, transfers, disciplinary action, and discharges
  • Ensure associates meet appearance standards and follow all uniform guidelines
  • Order and maintain product inventory
  • Complete daily sales reports and reconciliation
  • Assist with end-of-month inventory and financial reporting
  • Assist bartending associates in serving guests as business levels demand
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management
