Job Requirements

Must be able to stand for extended periods
Ability to lift up to 50lbs
Basic food safety knowledge
Previous experience in beverage preparation
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
High school diploma or equivalent
Availability to work flexible shifts

Job Qualifications

Proven experience working in a coffee shop or producing high quality beverages
Familiarity with operating and maintaining kitchen equipment like espresso machines, coffee makers, blenders, and shakers
Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment
Strong focus on accuracy and precision to ensure consistency and quality
Ability to read tickets accurately and quickly prepare menu items
Maintain knowledge of food items and recipes
Adhere to food safety and kitchen safety guidelines

Job Duties

Prepare made-to-order specialty drink items accurately and efficiently
Follow established recipes and portioning guidelines
Adhere to food safety and sanitation standards including proper handling, storage, and labeling of ingredients
Maintain clean and organized work area
Set up and stock station with necessary supplies and ingredients
Ensure all menu items meet Surf Bagel standards in taste, appearance, and portion size
Participate in cleaning and maintenance tasks including equipment cleaning, dishwashing, and kitchen organization
