The role focuses on delivering an exceptional guest service experience as a Beverage Server within the casino setting. This position is ideal for candidates passionate about hospitality and hospitality-driven entertainment, who enjoy interacting with a diverse clientele. The Beverage Server is responsible for providing personalized, friendly, and professional beverage service to casino guests, ensuring a positive and memorable experience. You will be required to serve drinks promptly, with a round-trip service time goal of 20 minutes or less, and maintain full trays on every round. This role includes responsibilities such as taking orders, communicating effectively with bartenders, assisting in drink preparation, and monitoring guest alcohol consumption to ensure safety and compliance with guidelines.

The Beverage Server acts as an ambassador of goodwill, representing PENN Entertainment both on the floor and during public relations events, including participation in publicity photos. You will promote casino events and programs to enhance the guest experience and support the casino’s operational standards. This position demands strong teamwork skills as you will regularly collaborate with beverage servers, bartenders, barbacks, beverage supervisors, and slots supervisors to maintain a clean, well-stocked workstation and provide a seamless service experience.

Physical agility is necessary for success in this role, as moving and carrying full trays throughout the casino floor, sometimes for extended periods, is routine. The ideal candidate can work well in a fast-paced, often crowded and noisy environment, and handle exposure to second-hand smoke, bright lights, and other typical casino conditions. Professional appearance and excellent communication skills are essential to meet company standards and to effectively engage with guests from diverse backgrounds. Job Requirements

Must be 21 years of age
high school diploma or equivalent
obtain and maintain valid alcohol serving permits
read, write legibly, understand and speak English
excellent customer service/communication skills
count money and change correctly
know or able to learn tray service, cocktail ingredients
available to work required schedule which may include nights, weekends, holidays and overtime as needed
must meet professional appearance standards as prescribed by company policy
must be physically mobile with reasonable accommodation
must be able to respond to visual and oral cues
must be able to lift and carry 20 lbs. (full cocktail tray) for extended periods of time
able to tolerate second-hand smoke, noise, bright lights
