This full-time Beverage Server position is based in Montgomery and involves a dynamic role within the Beverage Department. The shift for this role is from 5:45 pm to 2:15 am, though it may be adjusted based on business demands. The Beverage Server is responsible for serving a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks to guests seated at gaming machines or bar areas throughout the casino floor. This role is essential in creating a memorable guest experience that combines attentive service with product knowledge and compliance with alcohol service regulations. The Beverage Server plays a vital part in fostering an atmosphere of fun and excitement where guests can enjoy the thrill of gaming alongside excellent beverage service.

The candidate must pass specific certifications and adhere to tribal gaming licensing requirements, highlighting the significance of professionalism and regulatory compliance within the gaming environment. Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or GED required or currently enrolled and successfully complete a GED program within six months from start date as a condition of continued employment
  • must be twenty-one years of age or older
  • six months related experience and/or training preferred
  • willingness and ability to lift and carry 20lbs continuously throughout the day
  • must successfully pass job interview, including a guest service audition
  • must possess a high level of maturity, dependability, and punctuality
  • ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of Wind Creek Hospitality
  • must be able to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations
  • demonstrated ability to communicate, in English, effectively both verbally and in writing, and understand and carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram formats
  • must successfully complete Responsible Vendor Alcoholic Beverage Service, and TIPS training
  • must be able to perform basic mathematical calculations
  • willing to travel and participate in training as recommended or required
  • must have a Tribal Gaming License (or the ability to obtain and maintain a license) as a requirement for this position
  • must have willingness and ability to work in a smoke/secondary smoke environment

Job Duties

  • maintains complete knowledge of all menu items, liquor brands, beers, non-alcoholic selections, daily special products and services available in the assigned venue
  • greets guests, takes beverage orders and relays them to bartenders, effectively utilizing the pos system and plu numbers, and utilizing the appropriate order call system
  • the ability to garnish drinks as needed
  • the ability to prepare beer, wine, and frozen drinks as needed
  • must be able to pass Responsible Service of Alcohol Test
  • complies with established policies on Reasonable Service of Alcohol
  • with assistance from the Beverage Manager, assures each individual site is in compliance with WCH’s Alcohol Policies & Procedures regarding the sale of alcohol on Tribal property
  • ensures sufficient inventories are maintained to meet the needs of the beverage operation
  • ensures that all applicable reports are completed in a timely manner
  • ensures the physical condition of the premises are maintained in a safe, healthy manner
  • ensures that all applicable operating policies and procedures are adhered to at all times without deviation and be extremely knowledgeable of the Minimum Internal Control Standards, Alcohol Policies & Procedures, and Fiscal Policies and Procedures
  • anticipates guests’ needs, responding promptly and acknowledging guests even when busy
  • other duties & responsibilities as assigned
