PENN Entertainment is a leading company in the entertainment and gaming industry, widely recognized for its commitment to delivering premier gaming experiences across its casino resorts and sports betting platforms. As a vibrant, fast-paced environment, PENN Entertainment seeks individuals who are passionate about fun and dedicated to providing exceptional service to guests. The company prides itself on fostering a diverse workforce where employees are motivated by their enthusiasm to help people enjoy their time and create unforgettable moments. With a strong emphasis on career growth and development, PENN Entertainment supports its employees with comprehensive wellness programs that focus on financial, physical, and mental well-being, ensuring that the team members have the resources needed to thrive personally and professionally.
Working at PENN Entertainment means joining a company that values each individual’s unique talents and encourages career advancement through ongoing support and training. Compensation includes a competitive base salary that reflects the individual's relevant knowledge, skills, and experience, along with a robust Total Rewards package. This package encompasses day-one medical coverage, 401(k) matching, annual performance bonuses, and paid time off that increases with tenure, demonstrating PENN Entertainment’s commitment to rewarding dedication and hard work. Employees are encouraged to grow, thrive, and advance in their careers, fostering an environment where fun and professional development go hand in hand.
The role of Beverage Server at PENN Entertainment places candidates at the heart of the hospitality operation, offering a dynamic and engaging work experience in the casino setting. Beverage Servers are essential in creating a memorable guest experience by delivering fast, friendly, and professional beverage service to casino guests. The server’s ability to provide personalized service, including using a guest's name and responding promptly to orders, is crucial to maintaining a welcoming atmosphere. These professionals also act as ambassadors of goodwill, promoting casino events and programs while smiling and engaging with guests to enhance their overall visit.
Beverage Servers are responsible for handling money according to company procedures and must monitor guests’ alcohol consumption carefully, intervening as necessary to uphold safety and service standards. The role requires excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with other team members, including bartenders, barbacks, beverage supervisors, and slots supervisors. Servers maintain clean and stocked workstations and ensure that beverage service rounds are swift—aiming for 20 minutes or less per round—while carrying full trays throughout their shift. The position demands physical stamina, as servers are required to stand and carry trays for extended periods and adapt to the fast-paced, sometimes noisy and crowded casino environment.
This position demands individuals who are at least 21 years old and possess a high school diploma or equivalent. Candidates must have the ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English, demonstrate excellent customer service skills, and accurately handle money. Professional appearance and adherence to company policies are mandatory, as is the physical ability to lift and carry up to 20 pounds and withstand environmental factors such as second-hand smoke, bright lights, and noise. The company values team players who can maintain composure and efficiency under pressure while delivering exceptional hospitality to every guest. Joining PENN Entertainment as a Beverage Server offers a career filled with opportunities to learn, grow, and make a significant impact in an exciting industry.
