We are currently seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Beverage Server to join our team. In this role, you will act as the face of our beverage service, creating a warm and friendly atmosphere for our guests and delivering truly excellent service. You'll be expected to be knowledgeable about all our beverage items, including drink preparations, ingredients, and presentation styles. Your expertise will allow you to provide valuable recommendations, enhance guest experiences by offering drink suggestions, and maximize sales through effective up-selling.

The Beverage Server operates primarily on the casino floor but may also serve guests in other areas such as the lounge or poolside. Your role involves quick response times, accurate order taking, and prompt delivery of drinks to ensure customer satisfaction and operational efficiency. You will assist with cleaning duties and maintain health and safety standards within your workspace, contributing to a clean and inviting environment.

Key to success in this position is the ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere strictly to company policies and gaming regulations. While supervisory responsibilities are not part of this role, collaboration with casino staff and other departments is crucial. The role demands physical stamina and the ability to work in a lively, sensory-rich environment where tobacco smoke, noise, and bright lighting are common.

This position requires flexibility, including working nights, weekends, holidays, and possibly overtime to meet business needs. We value candidates with prior beverage service experience in high-volume or casino settings primarily because such experience aligns well with our service expectations. Job Requirements

Must be 21 years of age
high school diploma or GED equivalent
previous beverage experience in a high volume, sophisticated bar or casino preferred
read, write, speak and understand English fluently
excellent customer service and communication skills
available to work required schedule including weekends, late nights, early mornings, holidays and overtime as needed
must meet physical appearance standards as prescribed by company policy
must be able to respond to visual and oral cues
must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs including glass racks, coffee urns, and bins of flatware
must be able to lift trays with food up to 30 lbs above shoulder level
must be able to pull or push 50 lbs
familiar with common drinks and alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages along with preparation, ingredients, garnishes, and proper glassware
must be able to carry a cocktail tray with up to 20 lbs in glassware and drink product for lengthy periods of time and distance
must be able to make change for cash, credit, and comp transactions
must be familiar with property POS system and be able to properly ring in, bill for and collect for drinks and other items as ordered by guests
may be required to help out in other food and beverage areas as needed or required based on business demands
must be able to reach above and below the shoulder, grip small items including flatware, plates, cups, and glasses
bend, stoop and twist while carrying restaurant stock to and from supply areas
able to reach across tables
able to stand and walk for up to 6 hours
able to use hand motions when cleaning and wiping counters and table tops
able to tolerate second-hand smoke, noise, bright lights
able to work at a fast pace in an often crowded and noisy environment
must be able to maintain a neat, professional, well-groomed appearance and uphold company appearance and dress standards

Job Qualifications

High school diploma or GED equivalent
previous beverage experience in a high volume, sophisticated bar or casino preferred
excellent customer service and communication skills
knowledge of common drinks and alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages including preparation, ingredients, garnishes and proper glassware
ability to make change for cash, credit, and comp transactions
familiarity with property POS system and ability to properly ring in, bill for, and collect for drinks and other items ordered by guests

Job Duties

Provides fast, friendly, professional and responsive customer service to casino guests
greets and makes welcome each guest seated in assigned station
takes initial beverage order within 9 minutes of guest being seated on the casino floor and within 2 minutes in lounge or pool
maintains current and accurate information regarding menu including pronunciation, preparation techniques, seasonings, ingredients and garnish presentation
suggests items to guests based on expressed guest preference and up-sells where practical or applicable
correctly enters food and beverage orders into the POS system to ensure accurate preparation of product
delivers prepared drinks to the appropriate guest within three minutes of completed production of order
resolves service issues according to service standards
itemizes, totals, and presents check for payment to correct customers
thanks customers, invites them back, wishes them luck and makes it easy for them to get back in play
assists casino staff in bussing, cleaning and clearing
wipes counter areas, sinks and bus stations as necessary to maintain a clean and safe work station
maintains cleanliness of designated areas in accordance with established health and safety standards
operates and maintains equipment as required in accordance with established guidelines and safety procedures
completes assigned side work as directed
knows and promotes current casino events and programs and can give guests directions to all casino areas
