Job Description

The Greenleigh River Oaks is an upcoming luxurious hotel set to open in the fall of 2026, located in Houston, Texas. This urban oasis is uniquely positioned to blend natural beauty with the vibrant, sophisticated culture of the city. Situated near the charming River Oaks neighborhood and the bustling energy of Uptown Houston, The Greenleigh embodies the unexpected nature of Houston, making it a highly anticipated destination for travelers and locals alike. The hotel promises an elevated experience where guests can enjoy sophisticated surroundings combined with urban sensibilities and creative ambiance that celebrates Houston’s diverse culture and dynamic lifestyle.

The Greenleigh is part of the esteemed Makeready collection, known for its commitment to high-quality hospitality and thoughtful team member benefits. The property aims to deliver exceptional guest experiences through its meticulously crafted offerings, including bars, lounges, and a wide array of beverage programs. The integration of beverage experiences is a core element of the guest journey at The Greenleigh, reflecting the hotel’s dedication to quality, creativity, and operational excellence.

The role of Beverage Manager at The Greenleigh is a key leadership position responsible for overseeing all aspects of beverage operations across the hotel’s bars, lounges, and beverage outlets. This role is pivotal in maintaining the highest standards of beverage quality, service execution, and guest satisfaction. The Beverage Manager will work closely with property leadership to ensure seamless beverage planning, inventory management, financial control, and staff development. Success in this position requires a dynamic, detail-oriented professional with a passion for delivering outstanding beverage experiences while fostering exceptional team performance.

This position demands strong guest focus along with financial acumen – managing beverage cost controls, labor, payroll, and budgeting are essential responsibilities. The Beverage Manager will also play a creative role in developing seasonal cocktail menus, curated wine and beer selections, and promotional beverage programs that keep the offerings innovative and competitive in the hospitality market. Collaboration is crucial as this role partners not only with internal hotel teams such as Culinary, Sales, Marketing, and Banquets to support events and maximize revenue opportunities but also closely aligns with property leadership to drive operational excellence.

Beyond operational and financial responsibilities, the Beverage Manager ensures compliance with all relevant alcohol service regulations, health, safety, and sanitation standards. The role requires staying current with industry trends to continuously enhance the beverage program and maintain The Greenleigh’s reputation for offering unique and memorable guest experiences. This position offers an exciting opportunity to lead a beverage team within a forward-thinking, hospitality-focused environment that values creativity, inclusivity, and professionalism.

By joining The Greenleigh, candidates will be part of a vibrant new hotel that values its team’s health, happiness, and well-being. The company prides itself on its guiding principles and commitment to creating an inclusive workplace where all employees can thrive as their authentic selves. As an equal opportunity employer, Makeready LLC, and its affiliated entities, provide an environment free from discrimination and are dedicated to building a team based on individual qualifications and merit. Employment at The Greenleigh is designed to be rewarding, with competitive compensation and a host of benefits offered to eligible employees, including paid time off, medical and dental coverage, and more.
