The Beverage Manager role at Wind Creek Chicago Southland is integral to delivering a seamless and exceptional guest experience in the casino's beverage outlets. Reporting directly to the Director of Hospitality, this influential position encompasses a broad range of responsibilities including operational oversight, team leadership, and guest engagement. The Beverage Manager will oversee the daily functions of bars and service stations, ensuring that all beverage service areas operate efficiently while upholding high standards of quality and guest satisfaction.

A core responsibility involves developing and implementing training programs aimed at elevating customer service and beverage knowledge among team members. This role requires a hands-on leader who can motivate staff, manage schedules, and foster a positive work environment that reflects the company's enthusiasm for guest engagement and operational excellence. The manager will play a critical role in financial oversight, including budgeting, cost control, and profit and loss management, ensuring that all beverage operations contribute positively to the casino's overall performance.

In addition, the Beverage Manager will spearhead cocktail program development tailored to both the casino floor and banquet events, selecting product mixes that align with the property’s reputation for quality. Compliance with all applicable City, State, Federal, and Illinois Gaming Board regulations related to alcohol service is a mandatory aspect of this role. Job Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business or related field and two years supervisory experience in high-volume, multi-shift beverage outlets, or four years management experience in similar operations, or three years F&B supervisory experience with Wind Creek Hospitality
  • Ability to obtain BASSET or ServeSafe certification
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 40 pounds
  • Ability to maneuver through bars and service areas
  • Ability to work varied hours including weekends and holidays
  • Must have or be able to obtain an Occupational Gaming License and remain in good standing with the Illinois Gaming Board
  • Problem-solving and decision-making skills
  • Willingness to travel and participate in training
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively
  • Ability to manage guest and employee conflicts calmly
  • Experience with budget and financial data management
  • Must pass job interview including guest service audition

Job Qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED

  • OR three years supervisory experience in Food and Beverage with Wind Creek Hospitality
  • Extensive knowledge of beverage products and service techniques
  • Problem-solving and decision-making skills
  • Ability to obtain BASSET or ServeSafe certification after hire
  • Proven ability to develop and manage budgets
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to use computer-based time and attendance and POS systems
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Job Duties

  • Identify and define operational needs within beverage areas and implement beneficial changes
  • Abide by all City, State, Federal, and Illinois Gaming Board requirements related to alcohol service
  • Develop and implement customer service and steps of service training programs
  • Oversee budget development, monitoring, and cost control
  • Manage scheduling to maximize service levels and productivity
  • Develop cocktail programs for casino floor and banquets including product selection
  • Interview, select, train, and mentor team members
  • Handle guest feedback and resolve service issues
  • Promote beverage operations and property through innovative methods
  • Maintain communication of daily promotions and events to staff
  • Undertake special projects and other duties as assigned
