Job Description
This position is for a professional bartender within a hospitality setting, typically found in hotels, restaurants, or bars. The establishment where you will be employed values top-notch customer service and professionalism, seeking to offer guests a friendly, courteous, and timely beverage experience. The company prides itself on maintaining high standards of cleanliness, safety, and compliance with alcohol-serving regulations. This role is an excellent opportunity for individuals experienced in beverage service and passionate about delivering memorable guest experiences. The employment type is generally full-time or part-time based on operational needs, with opportunities for flexible scheduling including nights, weekends, and holidays. Compensation will be competitive within the hospitality industry and commensurate with experience and licensing.
The bartender's role involves more than just serving drinks. You will be responsible for preparing and providing professional beverage service to all guests and supporting cocktail staff, ensuring that each interaction is positive and efficient. Utilizing a point-of-sale (POS) system to accurately ring up orders and handle payment transactions is part of daily duties. You must maintain cleanliness and sanitation of guest areas and equipment meticulously, reflecting a strong commitment to health and safety standards.
In addition, you will manage the setup and replenishment of the bar area before, during, and after shifts, making certain that supplies like ice, beer, and chemicals are adequately stocked. Excellent communication skills are essential as you will frequently interact with guests, answering inquiries about hotel services, local attractions, and other assistance they may need. Your ability to make beverage recommendations and suggest pairings with meals will enhance guest satisfaction and potentially increase sales.
The role requires adherence to all applicable laws and regulations concerning alcohol service to ensure guest safety and compliance. Important physical demands include standing, walking, bending, and handling equipment regularly throughout the shift. Prior experience or training in bartending is required, along with a valid Alcohol Awareness Card or a willingness to obtain one. Candidates must be at least 21 years old due to legal alcohol service restrictions.
Joining this team offers the chance to work in a dynamic environment that supports career growth within the hospitality sector. Working hours are flexible but require availability to cover busy periods, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. If you are an energetic, service-oriented professional with a passion for hospitality and beverage service excellence, this bartender position stands as an ideal opportunity to advance your career in hospitality.
