This role is centered around providing exceptional beverage service within the casino environment. As a bartender at PENN Entertainment, you will play a crucial part in creating memorable experiences for guests by delivering fast, friendly, and professional service. The position entails monitoring responsible alcohol consumption, promoting casino events, and offering personalized guest interactions including using guest names to enhance service quality. You will be responsible for preparing drinks accurately following established recipes and presentation standards, operating cash registers or POS systems efficiently, maintaining a clean and stocked workstation, and collaborating effectively with team members such as beverage servers, bartenders, and supervisors. The role also involves adhering to health and safety guidelines, managing financial transactions with precision, and maintaining professional appearance standards. Working in this capacity means you must thrive in a lively, often noisy and crowded environment and be physically capable of performing a variety of functions such as slicing fruit, handling equipment, and occasionally lifting moderate weights. Job Requirements

Must be at least 21 years of age
High school diploma or equivalent
Previous bar experience preferred
Must successfully complete ServSafe Alcohol training certification course
Read, write legibly, understand, and speak English
Excellent customer service and communication skills
Count money and change correctly
Knows cocktail ingredients and proper mixing and pouring techniques
Available to work required schedule including nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime
Must meet professional appearance standards as prescribed by company policy
Must be physically mobile with reasonable accommodation
Must be able to respond to visual and oral cues
Able to work in constricting areas
Able to tolerate second-hand smoke, noise, bright lights
Able to work at a fast pace in often crowded and noisy environment
Physically mobile with reasonable accommodations including ability to push, pull, carry, and lift up to 25 lbs
Ability to push, pull, reach, bend, twist, stoop, stack, crouch, kneel, and balance when performing job duties in varying work areas such as confined spaces

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

Monitors guest consumption of alcohol and intervenes as needed according to guidelines
Serves as ambassador of goodwill while working and at customer and public relations functions
Promotes casino events and programs
Provides personalized service and uses guest name
Resolves service problems according to guidelines
Provides fast, friendly, professional beverage service to casino guests and beverage servers
Prepares and pours drink orders with proper portions and ingredients according to recipe
Slices and pits fruit as required
Operates and maintains all equipment and utensils as required
Operates a cash register/POS system and handles financial transactions accurately
Works well with beverage servers, bartenders, barbacks, beverage supervisor, and slots supervisor
Maintains a clean and stocked workstation in accordance with health and safety guidelines
