With 43 destinations to its name, as well as a robust online presence through theScore Bet Sportsbook and Casino, PENN Entertainment has established itself as a premier provider of engaging and innovative entertainment options. Beyond its broad geographic reach and cutting-edge platforms, the company prides itself on promoting a culture of collaboration, diversity, and sustainability that benefits its community, employees, and partners alike.
At PENN Entertainment, employees are more than just staff; they are vital contributors to an exciting, high-energy environment where every day offers new opportunities to engage with guests and contribute to memorable experiences. Dedicated to nurturing talent and fostering career growth, PENN Entertainment supports its team members through comprehensive wellness programs, professional development opportunities, and a competitive Total Rewards package that includes day-one medical coverage, 401(k) matching, and annual performance bonuses. The company deeply values the well-being, growth, and continued success of its employees, ensuring a workplace where individuals can thrive both professionally and personally.
The available Bartender position at PENN Entertainment offers an exceptional opportunity for candidates passionate about hospitality and delivering excellent service within a fast-paced casino and entertainment setting. This role is designed for individuals who enjoy working with a diverse group of colleagues and guests, are skilled at managing multiple tasks under pressure, and have a genuine enthusiasm for creating a fun and welcoming atmosphere. Bartenders at PENN Entertainment are ambassadors of goodwill, responsible not only for preparing and serving beverages with precision and efficiency but also for actively promoting casino events and engaging with guests on a personalized level. This includes knowing guests by name, providing attentive service, and resolving any service issues promptly and professionally.
Bartenders will utilize their knowledge of cocktail ingredients and proper mixing techniques to prepare drink orders quickly—often targeting production cycles of two minutes or less for large drink trays. They will operate point-of-sale systems, manage cash transactions accurately, and maintain all equipment and workstations in accordance with company and health safety guidelines. The role demands a strong teamwork ethic, working closely with beverage servers, barbacks, and supervisors to ensure smooth service operations. Additionally, bartenders must monitor guest alcohol consumption responsibly, ensuring a safe and enjoyable environment for everyone.
Success in this role requires a combination of technical skills, excellent customer service abilities, and physical stamina. Candidates should be capable of working in a sometimes noisy and crowded environment, tolerate second-hand smoke and bright lights, and be physically mobile with the ability to push, pull, carry, and lift up to 25 pounds, along with performing other physical activities like bending and balancing. PENN Entertainment is committed to providing reasonable accommodations to those with disabilities to enable them to succeed in their roles.
Overall, this position provides a vibrant and rewarding work environment where individuals who are passionate about hospitality, teamwork, and delivering memorable guest experiences can thrive. Given the company’s commitment to growth and inclusion, bartenders have the chance to build a meaningful career while contributing to the innovation and excitement that define PENN Entertainment’s brand and services.
