Job Description
Four Seasons is a globally renowned luxury hospitality company known for providing exceptional guest experiences through its upscale hotels and resorts worldwide. Powered by a passionate team committed to excellence, Four Seasons is driven by a culture of mutual respect, continuous personal and professional growth, and a desire to connect meaningfully with guests and coworkers alike. The company focuses not only on delivering luxurious accommodations and services but also on fostering a world-class employee experience that supports the highest standards of quality and care. By emphasizing a culture where individuals can thrive and feel valued, Four Seasons ensures that every guest encounter is memorable and heartfelt.
Situated in southern California, the Four Seasons Hotel Westlake Village represents a unique blend of luxury and wellness. Nestled at the foothills of the Santa Monica Mountains, positioned between Malibu's sun-drenched beaches and Santa Barbara's celebrated vineyards, this property provides a serene yet refined environment. The hotel’s family-friendly atmosphere, combined with its status as a luxury destination for health and wellbeing—highlighted by the on-site Center for Health & Wellbeing—offers guests a holistic and rejuvenating experience. The location is perfect for those seeking a peaceful retreat where nature and luxury coexist seamlessly.
The Beverage Manager role at Four Seasons Hotel Westlake Village is a pivotal position that involves creating and implementing a comprehensive beverage program aligned with the hotel's brand and vision. This senior role is responsible for overseeing a diverse range of beverage offerings across various outlets, including bars, restaurants, and in-room dining, ensuring quality, innovation, and brilliance in guest service. The ideal candidate brings a robust background in beverage management and a passion for elevating guest experiences through creativity and education. They will lead training initiatives to empower staff with thorough knowledge of cocktails, spirits, wine, and non-alcoholic selections, ensuring every interaction is confident and informed.
This role demands strategic inventory and cost management to maximize profitability while minimizing waste. The Beverage Manager also takes charge of menu development, cocktail innovation, and ongoing expansion of programs such as wine dinners to delight discerning guests. Additionally, the role includes actively promoting beverage sales through staff tasting events and targeted education, enhancing both guest satisfaction and business outcomes. Engaging directly with guests to craft unique beverage experiences further defines the position's dynamic nature.
Beyond operational responsibilities, this position is integral to the management team, contributing to shift coverage and participating in banquet events to upsell wine selections for various group functions and weddings. The schedule commitment is full-time with open availability required, reflecting the role’s importance in maintaining exceptional service standards around the clock.
In return for the expertise and dedication brought to this role, Four Seasons offers a competitive salary range between $82,000 and $92,000 annually, alongside comprehensive benefits designed to support employees’ wellbeing and professional growth. These include a company match 401K plan, complimentary stays at Four Seasons properties worldwide, meals at the Wellness Cafe, laundered employee uniforms, an employee assistance program, life insurance, complimentary on-site parking, and opportunities for training and tuition reimbursement. The company champions diversity and inclusion, encouraging minorities, women, veterans, and persons with disabilities to apply, and honors equal opportunity employment practices throughout its hiring process.
