The Server role at Bertucci's is central to delivering the hospitality that Bertucci's promises to its customers. This position is focused on providing excellent service by attending to guests' needs promptly and courteously, answering questions about menu items, and ensuring guests have an outstanding dining experience from start to finish. Servers are responsible for taking accurate orders, communicating efficiently with the kitchen, monitoring the quality of food before it reaches the customer, and processing payments accurately. The role requires maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the dining and service areas, assisting colleagues, and contributing to overall restaurant operations. This position demands a friendly, fast-paced approach, eye for detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously, all while upholding Bertucci's high service standards and culture. Job Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • some heavy lifting (25-30lbs)
  • ability to work well under pressure
  • ability to remain standing and active for a 9-hour shift
  • ability to communicate (speak, read and write English)
  • able to work well in a fast-paced environment

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • prior experience in a restaurant or hospitality setting preferred but not required
  • good communication skills
  • ability to provide excellent customer service
  • ability to work efficiently in a team environment
  • basic math skills for cash handling
  • strong attention to detail
  • knowledge of food and beverage menus

Job Duties

  • Set-up and break-down of the dining room and service stations
  • clearing and resetting tables
  • a series of side work assignments
  • general cleaning of the work area
  • constantly keeping areas—tables, floor, chairs, service station clean, neat and organized
  • assist other employees as needed
  • pre-bus tables
  • courteously greets customers and informs of current food promotions and specials
  • answers questions and makes suggestions regarding food and beverages
  • visually inspects all products in order to ensure all garnishes are added appropriately and all food products are eye-appealing as designated
  • removes dirty dishes as needed between courses and at the end of the meal and returns them to the dishwashing area
  • reports all food and service complaints to the manager
  • stocks silverware, small containers, food products/garnishes, condiments, and various items
