Since our first kitchen opened in the Davis Square neighborhood of Somerville, MA, in 1981, we have built a tradition of creating unique pizzas and pasta combinations that stand out for their authenticity and flavor. At the heart of every Bertucci's restaurant is our iconic brick oven, made up of 936 bricks which symbolize strength, stability, and the foundation of our genuine culinary experience. These ovens are essential not only to the preparation of our food but also to the warmth and atmosphere that define the Bertucci's dining experience. We pride ourselves on using only the freshest ingredients and preparing everything by hand daily. Our dough is made from scratch, and no microwave is ever used in our restaurants, ensuring that every dish meets our high standards for quality and taste.

Job Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • Commitment to high standards
  • Ability to work well under pressure
  • Ability to remain standing and active for a 9-hour shift
  • Ability to work in extreme temperatures
  • Some heavy lifting up to 75lbs
  • Ability to handle general cleaning and trash removal
  • Ability to assist cooks with prep as needed
  • Ability to inspect dishwashing equipment and report issues
  • Ability to maintain cleanliness of dishwasher area throughout the day and end of day

  • Experience with cleaning and kitchen maintenance preferred

Job Duties

  • Stack clean dishes on racks ensuring clean water and detergent are used in dishwasher
  • Deliver clean dishes to designated areas as time permits
  • Rinse bus buckets and clean and dry pots pans utensils dough boxes
  • Remove trash and maintain general cleaning of work area
  • Receive unload and rotate products from vendors
  • Assist cooks with prep as needed
  • Prepare dishwashing machine for daily activity by inspecting machine for damage and cleanliness
  • Monitor dishwashing machine for correct operation and report malfunctions
  • Clean dishwasher and surrounding area throughout the day and at close of business
