Job Description
BERT OGDEN HARLINGEN CDJR is a reputable automotive dealership located in Harlingen, Texas, specializing in Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, and RAM vehicles. Known for its customer-centric approach and extensive inventory, the dealership provides a full range of automotive services including sales, financing, parts, and service. With a deep commitment to quality and customer satisfaction, BERT OGDEN HARLINGEN CDJR has established itself as a trusted destination for vehicle buyers and owners in the region. The company fosters a professional work environment with opportunities for growth, supported by comprehensive benefit packages that contribute to employee well-being and job satisfaction.
The role of Cashier within the Service Department at BERT OGDEN HARLINGEN CDJR is a critical position responsible for handling financial transactions with accuracy and professionalism. Reporting directly to the Service Manager, the Cashier serves as a vital link between the dealership and its customers by efficiently processing payments such as cash, checks, and credit cards for goods and services rendered. This position demands someone who can not only manage monetary transactions flawlessly but also represent the dealership in a courteous and professional manner, as the cashier often serves as the customer's final point of contact.
The Cashier's duties include operating the cash register, computing and verifying customer bills using dealership systems, making change, processing cash checks, and issuing receipts. The role requires attention to detail to ensure that totals recorded match actual cash on hand, thus maintaining the financial integrity of the transaction process. Additionally, the Cashier collaborates with department managers to stay informed about new products, services, pricing changes, and promotion details, which is essential for offering accurate information to customers and enhancing the overall service experience.
Handling customer inquiries and complaints with tact and professionalism is another important aspect of the role. The Cashier is expected to either resolve issues or direct customers to the appropriate service personnel for further assistance, maintaining satisfaction and loyalty. Furthermore, the Cashier processes cash refunds or credit memorandums for returned merchandise, ensuring transparent and fair transactions.
This is a full-time position requiring someone with a professional appearance and excellent interpersonal skills. While previous experience operating a cash register is necessary, the dealership provides training on its specific computer systems and office machines to ensure familiarity and proficiency. The position requires candidates to be at least 21 years old, possess a valid Texas Driver's License, and successfully pass drug and background screenings.
BERT OGDEN offers an attractive benefits package to full-time employees, including paid vacation and holidays, 401(k) retirement savings plans, and comprehensive vision, dental, and medical insurance. These benefits demonstrate the dealership's commitment to supporting its team members' health, financial security, and work-life balance.
Working as a Cashier at BERT OGDEN HARLINGEN CDJR offers an opportunity to join a dedicated team within a well-established dealership that values professionalism, accuracy, and excellent customer service. The role is suited for individuals who enjoy interacting with people, managing financial transactions accurately, and contributing to a positive customer experience in the automotive service industry.
