The role of Benefits Operations Specialist at Baker Tilly is based full-time onsite in their Clarks Summit location and offers a competitive pay range from $15.97 to $28.25 per hour, with compensation tailored according to applicants' skills, experience, qualifications, and other employment factors. This position plays a vital role in the benefits administration function by managing and processing daily benefits-related activities such as enrollments, data entry, and correspondence management. The Benefits Operations Specialist is tasked with efficient handling of internal benefits systems updates, daily communication management, and ensuring timely processing of payments, forms, and mail associated with Baker Tilly Vantage clients and their members.

Successful candidates will demonstrate strong organizational skills, excellent customer service and problem-solving abilities, and comfort working collaboratively within small teams. Proficiency in MS Office applications including Excel, Outlook, and Word is essential. The position demands accuracy and precision while maintaining files and records in both digital and physical formats. Additionally, it requires the ability to meet strict deadlines and manage multiple responsibilities simultaneously. A valid driver’s license is necessary for some travel obligations, which involve use of a personal vehicle. Job Requirements

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Professionally handle email inquiries from team members and external contacts
  • Process daily files and update internal benefits system
  • Process daily enrollments with insurance carriers and third parties
  • Support data entry initiatives including daily tasks and projects
  • Resolve departmental tickets related to data entry and eligibility in a timely manner
  • Process inbound payments efficiently
  • Manage inbound forms and mail requests
  • Maintain organized files of processed requests in paper or digital formats
  • Handle inbound mail related to benefits administration for clients and members
  • Perform all other duties as assigned
