Job Requirements

  • Standing, walking, and sitting for extended periods through shifts

Job Qualifications

  • Hotel management experience required
  • Hospitality degree preferred
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage multiple departments
  • Excellent communication and conflict resolution skills
  • Knowledge of budget management and P&L statements
  • Experience in coaching and mentoring team members
  • Ability to develop and implement strategic plans
  • Familiarity with occupational health and safety standards

Job Duties

  • Assist the General Manager in all aspects of hotel operations, day-to-day staff management, and guests
  • Ensure compliance with SOPs, policies, procedures, and service standards
  • Handle guest complaints and oversee service recovery process
  • Assist in managing budget and ensure revenue and guest satisfaction goals are met
  • Develop short and long-term strategic goals for performance improvement
  • Understand the P&L statement
  • Meet all report deadlines daily, weekly, and at month end
  • Work closely with department managers and the General Manager to maximize room yield and hotel revenue
  • Oversee and manage all departments and coordinate with department heads daily
  • Maintain excellent communication between departments and the General Manager
  • Be responsible for occupational health, fire, and life safety
  • Strive to improve service performance
  • Maintain a friendly, cheerful, and courteous demeanor at all times
  • Utilize interpersonal and communication skills to lead, influence, and encourage others by example
  • Encourage and build mutual trust, respect, and cooperation among team members
  • Serve as a role model demonstrating appropriate behaviors
  • Communicate clear and consistent messages regarding processes throughout all departments
  • Develop specific goals and plans to prioritize, organize, and meet customer expectations daily
  • Support all departments in their daily operations
  • Identify developmental needs of others and provide coaching, mentoring, or assistance to improve knowledge and skills
