The Bakery Department Supervisor role is essential in ensuring that the bakery section of Lowes Foods consistently meets the highest standards for guest service, product quality, merchandising, and operational procedures. This supervisory position is responsible for guiding and directing bakery staff to provide friendly and courteous service to customers, maintain appropriate inventory levels, and adhere to sanitation and safety guidelines. The supervisor actively participates in both administrative and operational aspects such as achieving sales goals, controlling shrinkage, managing labor schedules, and training team members.

Job Duties

  • Ensure guests receive polite, friendly service from the bakery department staff
  • achieve budgeted sales, shrink and profits for the bakery department
  • maintain desired level of inventory and supplies
  • operate the department according to merchandising and operational guidelines and programs
  • ensure the quality of product for sale meets Lowes Foods standards
  • maintain sanitation and safety throughout the department according to Lowes Foods standards
  • provide guidance, orientation, training and feedback to ensure bakery department hosts achieve satisfactory performance standards
