Job Description

Sundance Mountain Resort is an iconic destination known for its blend of natural beauty, artistic expression, and outdoor recreation. Nestled in a picturesque setting, the resort offers guests an immersive experience that combines luxurious lodging, fine dining, and a variety of recreational activities. With a strong emphasis on community values and sustainable practices, Sundance attracts visitors seeking both adventure and tranquility. As a well-established resort, it supports a diverse team committed to delivering exceptional hospitality and maintaining a welcoming atmosphere that reflects its unique cultural heritage and dedication to environmental stewardship.

The Bellperson role at Sundance Mountain Resort is a pivotal part of the guest experience, focused on ensuring that every arrival and departure is both seamless and memorable. This position operates within the Front Drive team, upholding the resort's core values of art, nature, and recreation through personalized, attentive service. The Bellperson is the first point of contact for guests as they arrive and the last as they leave, providing invaluable assistance such as luggage handling, informing guests about resort offerings, facilitating smooth check-ins, and supporting shuttle services. This role requires a blend of exceptional hospitality, strong communication skills, and the ability to maintain a calm, positive demeanor even during busy times.

Working variable shifts based on occupancy, typically covering early mornings through to after midnight, the Bellperson must be adaptable and ready to deliver consistent service regardless of the hour. The schedule includes weekend and holiday availability, underscoring the importance of dependable attendance. With a starting hourly rate of $14 plus service charges, this hourly position is non-exempt and demands individuals aged 25 years or older, in accordance with company insurance policies. The Bellperson collaborates closely with several departments, including the Bell Captain, Boot Room Attended, and Front Desk teams, to anticipate and meet guest needs efficiently, ensuring a high level of professionalism and care throughout the guest’s stay.

This position also emphasizes safety and operational excellence. The Bellperson is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and readiness of the bell stand and resort vehicles, ensuring all equipment and vehicles are inspected regularly and all safety protocols are followed. They must be able to respond swiftly to shuttle requests and other guest services, demonstrating both courtesy and efficiency. Additionally, they support other resort departments by transporting goods around or off the property when necessary. Ensuring guest privacy and trust is paramount, especially when entering rooms for check-ins or service deliveries. The Bellperson’s role is to foster authentic connections through warmth and professionalism, reinforcing Sundance’s reputation for outstanding guest service and memorable experiences.
