The seasonal Server role at Delaware North Sportservice in Little Caesars Arena is central to delivering outstanding guest experiences. This position involves direct interaction with guests, ensuring their visit is enjoyable and memorable by providing attentive and courteous service. As a Server, you are the face of the restaurant, greeting guests, presenting menus, answering questions about menu specials, taking accurate food and drink orders, and delivering items promptly. Since this is a tipped position, the hourly wage starts at $6.50 excluding tips, emphasizing the importance of excellent customer service and a positive guest rapport to maximize earnings.
Servers are responsible for accurately entering orders into the point-of-sale system, which ensures the kitchen and bar staff can efficiently prepare the requested items. Additionally, they must serve alcoholic beverages responsibly by following all legal regulations, requesting identification, and adhering to alcohol service policies. Maintaining collaboration with fellow restaurant servers, kitchen, and bar staff is essential for smooth operations. Beyond guest interaction, servers also perform necessary opening and closing duties as well as side work including cleaning and organizing workspaces, ensuring that all equipment and areas are sanitized and functional. This role demands physical stamina as it requires constant standing, walking, lifting, and maneuvering between tables and around the restaurant environment.

Job Requirements
- Experience in cash handling and credit card processing is required
- Ability to work evening, weekend, and event shifts
- Physical ability for constant standing, walking, bending, reaching, and repetitive motions
- Ability to maneuver between tables and around corners
- Ability to lift, balance, and move large food trays
- Visual acuity and hearing sufficient to take orders and prepare checks
- Ability to lift up to 35 pounds for set-up, service, and clean-up
Job Qualifications
- Experience in cash handling and credit card processing
- At least one year of experience as a server in a high-volume environment preferred
- Previous experience with a point-of-sale system in a service or hospitality environment preferred
- No high school diploma or GED required
Job Duties
- Greet guests, provide menus, clearly communicate restaurant specials, answer questions about menu items, collect food and beverage orders, serve items ordered, and attend to guests' needs throughout their visit
- Accurately enter orders into the point-of-sale system so that kitchen staff can prepare food and bar staff can prepare drinks, as needed
- Serve alcoholic beverages responsibly, request identification, and adhere to all alcohol service policies and procedures
- Prepare and deliver the check to guests at the table, accept and process the payment
- Collaborate with other restaurant servers, kitchen, and bar staff
- Perform opening, closing, cleaning, and side work duties, as assigned
- Ensure all equipment and workspaces are clean, sanitized, organized, and working properly
